In some cases, the Code for Sustainable Homes cannot be used to assess residential buildings that also contain other uses. Where a building contains communal space, such as a lounge, dining room, laundry, office, meeting room or leisure facilities, BREEAM Multi-residential assessment may be used to assess the whole building.
BREEAM Multi-residential may be required to assess the following types of building:
· sheltered housing and housing schemes for older people;
· some supported housing developments;
· student halls of residence;
· key worker accommodation;
· care homes that do not consist of extensive medical facilities; and
· any other building that contains both residential accommodation and one other use.
We are licensed assessors of multi-residential schemes, so please get in touch to request a quote or to discuss how we can help you.
