In 2007, the Code for Sustainable Homes replaced EcoHomes as the assessment method for new homes; however, EcoHomes is still used as the method of assessing existing and refurbished dwelling.

EcoHomesXB

EcoHomes XB allows landlords to assess and monitor the environmental performance of their stock.  It is an assessment tool that provides a single score, rather than a rating.  This single scores means that environmental performance of housing stock can be monitored and compared as improvements are made.  It allows the effect of improvements to be analysed and it can identify areas that require improvement or should be prioritised.
