150 High Street

Red Loft has been appointed client side project managers to act for Genesis on 150 High Street, Stratford (Kessler site) opposite the Olympic Park. Our brief was to conclude negotiations with the vendor and work with them to achieve a satisfactory planning consent. In parallel we were tasked with finding a suitable construction partner to build out this £140 million plus development.

Planning approval has now been granted to develop over 650 homes adjacent to the 2012 Olympic site in Stratford, East London, by a combination of Newham Council and London and Thames Gateway Development Corporation.

The site on Stratford High Street, one of Genesis' biggest-ever land acquisitions, will include several residential blocks including a 42 storey tower as well as commercial and retail units and a hotel. 35% of the homes will be affordable, including social rent and shared ownership.

The Greater London Authority’s stage II report said that the scheme "has the potential to deliver significant new employment while also delivering a large number of new homes in this highly accessible location."
