Lady Craig Court is a development for older people, aimed at encouraging Council residents to transfer from large family homes by providing 30 attractive, accessible new flats. Red Loft delivered this scheme as part of our long-standing work with the London Borough of Hillingdon. We developed the concept as a way of providing additional family homes at a reduced cost by moving existing tenants from family homes into more suitable accommodation, thus allowing families to move into the houses.
Key to the success of the concept was working closely with the architects, BPTW, to ensure that the scheme delivered high quality homes that would attract residents who would not otherwise be willing to give up their homes.
On completion, Cllr Philip Corthorne, cabinet member for adult social care, health and housing, said "We are proud of what we have achieved. We asked older people what they wanted and have delivered it. While they will benefit from the new high quality apartments, 30 family homes will be made available to families who need them."
