Code for Sustainable Homes & BREEAM Assessments

We are licensed Code for Sustainable Homes and BREEAM Assessors.

Achievement of a certain level under the Code for Sustainable Homes or its non-residential equivalent, BREEAM, is now a requirement of several planning authorities and is mandatory for all publicly-funded housing.

Our Code and BREEAM assessment service is designed to balance the various scoring criteria in order to identify solutions that minimise clients’ costs and future maintenance liabilities. We will work with the project team and guide them through the assessment process to ensure that all the necessary elements and information are considered at the appropriate stage in the development process.

We are able to offer assessment services for all types of residential, commercial, community and healthcare building.

Our Assessments are carried out in two stages:

Design stage: an initial assessment is carried out based on design drawings and specifications. We will feed our initial findings back to the client and design team, together with recommendations for how the score can be increased, or achieved in a more economic manner. Following any amendments to the design, we will assess the scheme again and issue an interim certificate of compliance.
Completion: a final assessment is carried out based on the contractor’s information and a visual inspection from which a final certificate is produced.
