Glyn spent 13 years in local government, starting at the bottom and ending up managing several principal housing services including, a large LA SHG programme, the Homeless Families Service and the DLO major works division (not all at the same time though!). After a brief spell with co-operative housing in Liverpool, Glyn moved to a regional RSL helping deliver an increasing programme, including a stock transfer of BISF houses, across the North West of England.
A move to a large, national RSL led to a series of roles in strategy, as a Regional Maintenance and Development Manager, and culminating in the role as overall Head of Development. His experiences with these RSLs included rural housing development, shared ownership, foyer schemes and supported housing.
Outside of work Glyn was Chair for 6 years of one of the most innovative Mental Health service and accommodation providers and is currently Honorary Treasurer of a local Care Service charity. Glyn also enjoys amateur dramatics and watching live ‘real’ football, having been a season ticket holder at Stockport County for 10 years.
