Last week, we attended the Future of London Summer Social from the top of the Orbit- enjoying incredible panoramic views across London.

Surrounded by a range of speakers and industry peers, we shared our career journeys and backgrounds and were reminded that what we do isn’t just about bricks and mortar; it’s a set of shared values, purpose and connections.

One of Future of London’s greatest strengths is how they reinforce that design should be done with, not for, communities. The FOL leaders programme is ultimately about knowing yourself, and using this to serve others more meaningfully.

We often talk about the effort that goes into challenging projects, but the ‘why’ is where the real motivation comes from.

From the views inside the Orbit, to the conversations we shared, this event was a powerful reminder of what shaping London really looks like, and this is what makes us proud to be part of the FOL alumni.
